Faith (King James Version)
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
